If you have a patient with a new diagnosis of liver cancer, underlying advanced liver disease, or suspected liver issues, our free, confidential nurse-led support line provides an
additional layer of guidance and education to help them navigate their diagnosis and treatment. We are a safe space offering compassionate, stigma-free support to all patients and their carers, regardless of their background. 


How we can help

The Support Line is staffed by highly experienced hepatology nurses who work closely with health professionals around Australia. Our highly experienced hepatology nurses offer:

  • Education and support for patients and their loved ones
  • Guidance alongside your clinical care to help patients understand their condition and treatment options
  • Inclusive access with free interpreter services, including TIS National (150+ languages) and Auslan support

Referring your patient to our services allows you to focus on the clinical details while being assured that your patient and their loved ones are receiving support, education and information that can help them to understand and navigate their treatment pathway. The service:

  • Complements your care: Patients remain under yourclinical guidance

The service is intended to complement, not replace, clinical decision-making, with all callers referred back to their treating team as needed.
